Surprise! It's a Flannel Friday!

Let's see what surprises this Friday had in store for us!

Jessica from Storytime in the Stacks shared her version of the Mitten Matching Game. I love the song that goes along with this!

Building Mr. Snowman is also from Jessica. This is an adorable way to get audience participation and work on sequencing.

It's the Year of the Rooster, and April from Storytime Ukulele has a catchy farm song featuring our fine feathered friend: I Love My Rooster. She added chords and an adaptation for dinosaurs, too.

Though Mr. Keith points out that you should never shake a baby, you may want to wibble and wobble and jiggle and joggle one through Jelly in the Bowl.

***Remember: you can also find Flannel Friday on Facebook, Pinterest, and at our Flannel Friday blog. If you're new to Flannel Friday, don't forget to add your name and location to our Where Is Flannel Friday map.***

The typing speed was more than five words per minute (WPM) faster than the handwriting for both memorized and copied paragraphs. These results suggest that for an experienced two-finger typist, typing from a display-oriented document processor can be faster than handwriting.
