Friday, Friday, gotta get Flannel on Friday!
Lisa from Thrive After Three is kicking summer off with a flannel version of What This Story Needs is a Crunch and a Munch by Emma J. Virjan. silly rhymes + picnics = a fantastic Summer.
Let's welcome long time reader, first time poster, Michelle from Friday Story Time! She has turned Jim Averbeck's Except If into a gorgeous flannel board. Thanks for joining the posting fun, Michelle!
Summer means camping, especially to this poor woman stuck in the Arizona heat! Emily from Literary Hoots is sharing her love of getting back to nature with A Camping We Will Go. Stay cool, Emily!
Take a break from the heat with Wendy from Flannel Board Fun and her gingerbread set. This beautiful piece of art looks (almost) good enough to eat!
Kate from Felt Board Magic has two great ideas for us this week. First, she puts a new spin on Little Mouse with her Little Worm Hide and Seek. Her set of Five Cheeky Monkeys Swinging in a Tree (one of my favorites) is crazy cute! I am almost rooting for the little fellas this time.
It's not summer without a great fruit salad! Luckily, Laura from Literacious has just the thing. She's turned the song from Jbrary into a flannel board and even has a template to share. Yummy yummy! (And if you get that, you are probably like me and watch WAY too much Wiggles).
Mr. Keith from Felt-tastic Flannelboard Funtime (awesome blog name, btw) has made a flannel of Animal Colors. If you tell me you've seen cuter flannels, I just don't believe you.
Lastly we have a Flannel Friday veteran, Cate from Storytiming, with her super awesome octopus that she uses for Herman the Helper by Robert Kraus. Happy Cephalopod Week, everyone!
That's all we wrote, folks. Thank you so much to our participants this week and thank you all for being a part of Flannel Friday.
***Remember: you can also find Flannel Friday on Facebook, Pinterest, and at our Flannel Friday blog. If you're new to Flannel Friday, don't forget to add your name and location to our Where Is Flannel Friday map.***
There's the old saying that "What happens in storytime stays in storytime." Not true anymore. Stay tuned as the storytime world and its secrets are revealed by an inside source.
