Inspired By Flannel Friday - Five Little Fireworks

Happy Independence Day to my fellow American Flannel Friday friends! This week's submission was inspired by Miss Tara.

Flannel Friday Roundup - June 13, 2014

Who says Friday the 13th is unlucky? No one can have a bad day when you have Flannel Friday on your side!

First up: Father's Day is on Sunday, and Kathryn from Fun with Friends at Storytime has Daddy's Ties. Her post was inspired by Katie from Storytime Secrets.

Check out the absolutely adorable Five Little Babies from Kristen at Library Village! I want to pinch their cute little felt cheeks!!

Our Honored Founder, Melissa from Mel's Desk, is back with a flannel version of Zingy by Paola Opal. Opal's books are my new favorites for baby storytimes. Beautiful work, Mel!

Hannah has adapted Jan Thomas' book, Can You Make a Scary Face, into an interactive puppet show. Her changes will keep those kids hopping this summer.

Lastly, I made stick puppets for the swimmingly good song, The Slippery Fish.

That's it for this week's roundup! You can find more Flannel Friday on FacebookPinterest, and at our blog. Have a great week, everyone!

Flannel Friday - The Slippery Fish

Look what I caught in my net today!

The clip art came from KandyMagick's Etsy shop. Thank you to the ladies at Jbrary for providing the song.

The Slippery Fish
The slippery fish, the slippery fish
Sailing through the water.
The slippery fish, the slippery fish,
Gulp, gulp, gulp.
OH NO! He was eaten by an octopus!

The octopus (squiggling)
The tuna fish (flashing)
The great white shark (lurking in)
The humongous whale (spouting through; burp, burp, burp, excuse me!)

I'm the host of this week's Flannel Friday roundup. You can also find Flannel Friday on Facebook, Pinterest, and at our blog. Have a great week, everyone!
