Wee Read - Turtles

Early Literacy Tip of the Week: Babies are born with the ability to learn every language’s sounds. When your baby babbles, he is practicing the sounds he’ll need in order to speak the language he is taught.

Good Morning

Hello, How are You?

I’m a Little Fishy
Sung to: I’m a Little Teapot
I'm a little fishy, I can swim
Here is my tail, here is my fin.
When I want to have fun with my friends,
I wiggle my tail and dive right in!

Down in the Meadow
Down in the meadow in a little bitty pool
Swam ten little turtles and a mama turtle too
“Swim!” said mama turtle “Swim like I do!”
so they swam and they swam all over the pool
Change to different action words Splash, dive, float, etc.

Fish are Swimming
Sung to: "Frere Jacques"
Fish are swimming, fish are swimming,
In the sea, in the sea,
A-splishing and a-splashing,
A-splishing and a-splashing,
Look and see, look and see.

Five Little Fishies
Sung to: "5 Little Monkeys Swinging From a Tree
5 little fishies swimming in the sea
Teasin' Mr. Shark
You can't catch me!
When along comes Mr. Shark as quiet as can be
AAAAANNNNDDD snap!
4 little fishies etc...
