Flannel Friday Roundup - October 2, 2015

It's Flannel Friday? I'm still not sure, so let's ask Cookie Monster and Tom Hiddleston.

Alright, there's our answer. So on with the show!

It's October (finally)! You know what that means? Fall! Pumpkins! HALLOWEEN! Kathryn at Fun with Friends at Storytime helps us choose what costumes to wear with her Five Little Jack-o-Lanterns Shining Bright.

Shawn at Read, Rhyme, and Sing was inspired to make a Mr. Potato Head set by another Flannel Friday post. She even created a clever rhyme to help children with parts of the body.

Nikki at heytherelibrary is looking for her Little Cat who fell asleep under a hat. Can you guess where Little Cat is?

Laura at Library Lalaland and I have something in common: our first flannel was Five Little Monkeys Swinging in a Tree! And she's right, this one never fails to get the crowd going.

Time for a Flashback Friday (that's a thing, right?). The last time I hosted, Melissa at Mel's Desk debuted her first Meeow set. This week she has more pieces: more Meeow!

Jaime at Miss Jaime's Library Journeys has been hard at work making a Pete the Cat and His Four Groovy Buttons set. I love the idea of using Velcro on the buttons to help them keep the shirt closed. Good thinking, Jaime!

Jane at Piper Loves the Library has started a yoga storytime program called Yoga for Two. She's even managed to work in some flannel board fun!

Lastly, Nancy asked if I would post pictures of her imaginative and fun Shadow Children at Play. They are just too cute!

Next week is our Fall and Halloween Extravaganza! It will be hosted by Lisa at Libraryland.

Flannel Friday Guest Post - Shadow Children at Play

Hello everyone! I don't have a Flannel Friday post of my own (even though I'm hosting this week), but Nancy from Galion, OH wants to share her window display.

These shadow children at play would be especially perfect for next year's CSLP theme: Ready, Set, Read!

Great job, Nancy! I love the balloons and clouds, too. A wonderful addition to an already beautiful library.

You can find the final roundup on my blog later today.
