It's Flannel Friday? I'm still not sure, so let's ask Cookie Monster and Tom Hiddleston.
Alright, there's our answer. So on with the show!
It's October (finally)! You know what that means? Fall! Pumpkins! HALLOWEEN! Kathryn at Fun with Friends at Storytime helps us choose what costumes to wear with her Five Little Jack-o-Lanterns Shining Bright.
Shawn at Read, Rhyme, and Sing was inspired to make a Mr. Potato Head set by another Flannel Friday post. She even created a clever rhyme to help children with parts of the body.
Nikki at heytherelibrary is looking for her Little Cat who fell asleep under a hat. Can you guess where Little Cat is?
Laura at Library Lalaland and I have something in common: our first flannel was Five Little Monkeys Swinging in a Tree! And she's right, this one never fails to get the crowd going.
Time for a Flashback Friday (that's a thing, right?). The last time I hosted, Melissa at Mel's Desk debuted her first Meeow set. This week she has more pieces: more Meeow!
Jaime at Miss Jaime's Library Journeys has been hard at work making a Pete the Cat and His Four Groovy Buttons set. I love the idea of using Velcro on the buttons to help them keep the shirt closed. Good thinking, Jaime!
Jane at Piper Loves the Library has started a yoga storytime program called Yoga for Two. She's even managed to work in some flannel board fun!
Lastly, Nancy asked if I would post pictures of her imaginative and fun Shadow Children at Play. They are just too cute!
Next week is our Fall and Halloween Extravaganza! It will be hosted by Lisa at Libraryland.

There's the old saying that "What happens in storytime stays in storytime." Not true anymore. Stay tuned as the storytime world and its secrets are revealed by an inside source.

Flannel Friday Guest Post - Shadow Children at Play
Hello everyone! I don't have a Flannel Friday post of my own (even though I'm hosting this week), but Nancy from Galion, OH wants to share her window display.
Great job, Nancy! I love the balloons and clouds, too. A wonderful addition to an already beautiful library.
You can find the final roundup on my blog later today.

Flannel Friday Roundup: August 21, 2015
What a great week, everyone! I'm as sad as most people to see summer go, but I'm looking forward to cooler temperatures and falling leaves, not to mention everything pumpkin flavored. And even though summer is winding down, Flannel Friday is still in full swing. I've loved seeing the fantastic flannel posts our contributors prepared for us. Here they are for your flanneling pleasure:
Camping is a favorite summer activity and Lauren has made this delicious flannel to celebrate a favorite tasty treat: S'mores! This rhyme will have you giggling and looking for some marshmallows.
Kathryn was inspired by Sunflower Storytime to make her own version of Two Little Sharks. Then she added more creatures to the under the sea party to make an even ten.
Danielle's two shark-themed flannels were inspired by Destination Storytime and ItsyBitsyMom. And sadly, she's moving on to Teen and Adult services and won't get to do her wonderful storytimes anymore. We hope you still stop by to chat with us, Danielle!
We're leaving the ocean behind to check out how Melissa brought Meeow's world to life. That playful kitty is hiding and it's our job to find him! She even includes ways to modify the flannel for different ages, proving once again that she is our resident genius.
Bonnie is continuing the Little Mouse fun with her own version, Ladybug, Ladybug. She even has a great idea on how to use it to focus a wiggly, giggly group.
Let's talk about fall! Ms. Kelly reminds us that the season of pumpkins and spice and everything nice is right around the corner with Five Little Apples.
Jaime is showing off a flannel she made when she was still a baby librarian, Fall is Not Easy. They're very intricate and a perfect way to share a favorite autumn story. And to think all that talent is right down the road (highway) from me!
Everyone did such a wonderful job this week. Thank you, Flannel Friday crew for being your usual amazing selves!
