Flannel Friday - Move Like the Animals

After a brief Flannel Friday hiatus, I'm back!

Today's post features a collection of animal movements we used for storytime this week. Each picture is from Open Clip Art Library. They were added to a word document, printed out, and laminated.

I put double sided tape on the back of each, and hung them on the dry erase board side of my flannel board. The children were invited to shout out the name of the animal and imitate their movements.

Craft

Bunny Headbands

Such an easy craft to make and the kids look absolutely adorable wearing it. I wanted to sing "The Bunny Pokey" after class (you put your ears in, tail in, etc.), but there wasn't enough time.

Flannel Friday - B-U-N-N-Y

Hello there and happy Flannel Friday! Today's submission is a continuation of the bunny theme. This one was used with my preschool class. They picked up on identifying the letters fairly quick, but we were stuck on the clapping instead of saying the letters.

B-U-N-N-Y

Sung to: "B-I-N-G-O"

There was a rabbit that I once knew

And Bunny was her name-o.

B-U-N-N-Y

B-U-N-N-Y

B-U-N-N-Y

And Bunny was her name-o!

Each time you repeat the verse, take out one letter and replace with a flower. The flowers indicate when to clap. Repeat until all of the letters are clapped instead.

Flannel Friday - Tired Bunnies

Welcome to another edition of Flannel Friday!

This week's submission was used in my bunny storytime last week, but could easily be used for a Mother's Day theme as well. The picture doesn't make it too clear, but the gray bunny on the left is larger than the others. That's Mother Bunny.
