Foxy by Emma Dodd (Preschool)

Foxy uses his magic to help his friend Emma get ready for her first day of school.

Graduation

Several preschoolers are moving on to kindergarten in the fall. To commemorate their last day in storytime, I gave each one a diploma. The link is to my altered version of Microsoft Office's.

Crafts

School Bus (Toddler)

Materials: Blue construction paper, yellow bus cut-out, two black circles, crayons, and glue. Glue the bus onto the paper and attach the wheels. Color with crayons.

School Bus (Preschool)

Materials: School bus printout from First School (sheet 1, sheet 2), white paper, scissors, crayons, and glue. Cut out the bus pieces and assemble them on the sheet of paper. Color with crayons.

Flannel Friday - Foxy by Emma Dodd

It's Flannel Friday once again! This week, I'm happy to share with everyone my felt version of Foxy by Emma Dodd.

Emily is about to start at a new school and she's worried that she doesn't have what she needs for her big day. Foxy uses his magic to come to her rescue, but he has his work cut out for him!

Flannel Friday - What Will I Wear?

Happy Flannel Friday! Today's entry comes to us from my Back to School theme: What Will I Wear? The poem (by Jean Warren) and pictures came from The Best of Totline Flannelboards by Kathleen Cubley (Totline Publications, 2000).

What will I wear to school today,

Something old or something new?

What will I wear to school today,

Perhaps the color blue!

etc...

I printed the pictures out on card stock, colored them in with marker, laminated them, then hot glued Velcro onto the back. Voila! Instant flannel board!
