Flannel Friday - An Experiment with Pinterest

Hello all of you Flannel Friday friends! This week I'd like to tell you a little bit about what's happening with our Pinterest page.

Amy (a faithful Flannel Friday follower) and I have been working on organizing the FF Pinterest boards. To start, we both chose one board to work with. Amy decided on Animals and I went with Seasons. We then made new boards to make the page more detailed. Our plan with this project was to make it easier on users to find exactly what they're looking for.

For example, the pins on the Seasons board were divided up by what season/holiday they would be used for. Any Easter flannel boards can be found in Easter, Spring Holidays, Holidays, Spring, AND Seasons. Amy made new boards for Zoo Animals, Polar Animals, Forest Animals, etc.

Before we move forward with the project, we'd like to know what you think about this change. Is it too detailed or not enough? What other changes would you like to see on the Pinterest page? We are welcoming all suggestions and constructive criticisms. The Pinterest page is for you, after all, so help us turn it into an even more helpful resource.

Thank you in advance for your feedback!

  1. I think it is great. I am not sure we need a separate patriotic board, especially because not all of our posters are in the U.S. but that is a minor thing. Great job, ladies!

  2. I'm amused by how "librarian" it is to make all those categories!
